Introduction
Timetables are the basis of all classes and school activities for the year. Teachers use the timetable to mark the roll.
If you use asc Timetables to create your timetable cycles and scheduled classes, you can now import these cycles and scheduled classes files into Zunia.

Before creating a timetable
Before creating a timetable, you’ll need to:
- Create or have the required academic year defined. Learn how to Create your academic year
- Create subjects
- Create classes
- Enrol students by adding students to a class
Create a timetable
To create a timetable, you need to complete the following tasks:
- Build the structure of your timetable by creating a timetable cycle (this guide includes steps to import asc Timetables) made up of days and periods
- Before you can create timetables using asc Timetables, you’ll need to Export timetable data for asc Timetables
- Add teaching and non-teaching days to a timetable
- Add classes to your timetable, attaching subjects, teachers and rooms to the classes
- Schedule classes to your timetable

- Assign a substitute teacher to cover a staff absence
- When a teacher won't make their assigned class, you can assign an available teacher to take the class. Go to their timetable, select the affected class instance and select whether you want to edit the teacher or the room.
