Accrual accounting methods available for Xero integration

• You can now set up your Xero integration in Zunia to calculate revenue and expenses using the accrual accounting method. This gives schools a long-term view of finances allowing accounts – in Zunia and Xero – to record income before payments are received.

Export school details from a student's profile

• Now you can export to Excel the house, form, home room, tutor and roll group details from a student's profile (under School). You also have the option to display school details in the Current students table.

Single sign-on available for schools using your identity provider (IDP)

• Zunia now supports integration with Google, Microsoft or other IDPs to enable single sign-on (SSO). Once enabled by your system administrator, you can log in securely without needing to remember another password.

Maintain accurate attendance records by updating absence notes

• Now you can edit absence notes after they're created, so that notes can be kept up to date. Absence records associated with the note will also be updated. 

Increased oversight of a student's attendance rate for the current year

• You can now view each student's attendance rate for the current year as well as current term by selecting the '%' drop down in View attendance.

Timetables: Quick view of classes and/or periods teachers are assigned to teach

• When multiple teachers are assigned to a class, you can now see which teacher is assigned to teach each scheduled period. Now these classes only show in the teacher's timetable for the periods they are teaching, rather than showing every period in which the class is taught.

Teachers can complete their own academic reports

• Now teachers can mark their own academic reports as complete if further proofing is not required.

Export batch payment receipts to CSV in bulk

Bulk email limits removed when emailing contacts from classes

• In classes, now you can bulk email parents to as many contacts as you like, instead of being limited to 100.

• When you upload a document in the resolve absence or absence note modals, you can view those attached documents under Documents in the Student’s profile.

Gain greater control over new bulk student billing runs

• You can now set up billing variations, e.g; for one-way bus fees instead of return trips or no sibling discounts. 
• You can assign “billing variations” to students or debtor fee rates, or;
• Filter students when creating a bulk student billing or determine whether a debtor fee should be applied to a student based on billing variation.

Add credits to debtor accounts by cash receipt

• We’ve fixed the bug that prevented the adding of credits to a debtor account by cash receipt, even if the amount has a positive balance (the debtor account has one or more unpaid or partially paid invoices).
• There are two ways to add credits depending on how allocation mode is set:

1. Auto - sets total allocation amount as the desired credit amount and then deselect all invoices.
2. Manual - sets each invoice’s allocation amount to 0 to add the remaining amount of cash receipts as credits. 

Easily export student addresses

• You can now export student addresses from Reporting and compliance > Export data. All address types for students can be selected and exported to a spreadsheet.

One-step process to email invoices in bulk

• Once billing settings for each student are set up, Zunia now automatically calculates how much each family has to pay and creates invoices in bulk. You can then email these invoices in bulk to suit your schedule.

Easily track invoices and payments

• You can now audit and view a list of historical billing information for each debtor account.
• Filter by date or invoice status to view all invoices created, and track:
  • how much has been paid
  • dates and times of payments
  • overall outstanding balances and credits
  • receipts.

• You can now create student plans to personalise learning to individual student needs. Capture any learning goals, support needs and adjustments required to allow a student to participate and learn.

Export a student billing run before it’s approved

• You can now export bulk student billing run to CSV before it’s approved. Select any student’s bulk billing and select Export to Excel. You’ll see the notification with the CSV download link when it’s ready.
• Note: Only a bulk student billing that is Preview Ready or Approve in progress or Approved can be exported as CSV.

Tracking student attendance minute-by-minute, by class, by day and over time re-imagined

• Zunia customers spoke and we listened to make the following improvements to Attendance:
  • Mark roll becomes the single source of truth for attendance records
  • Parent notes are automatically captured from School app and can be added when parents call, email or SMS to notify you of an absence
  • Check students in and out throughout the day to track their movements and know who’s on campus at any given point in time
  • Resolve absences quickly with matching parent notes, check-ins and check-outs that could provide a reason for an absence
  • Get the right data you need for tracking attendance and compliance will
• When will improved attendance be available for your school?
  • We’re currently migrating our Zunia schools one by one outside of school hours for minimal impact over the next three weeks.
  • We’ll reach out directly to the Zunia Administrator at your school and give them a few days' notice before migration.

Define, track and demonstrate what is being assessed in the curriculum

• Add criteria to define which learning outcomes for topics are being covered in assessments. Criteria can then be graded in Marks book and analysed to give an overall assessment grade.
