Introduction
Creating classes in Zunia lets you group students together for each subject. You can create classes for one or more academic periods and assign a campus and teachers to each class.
You can create as many classes as you need for each subject, depending on the size of your school.
In this guide:
Before creating a class
You will need to:
- Have your academic year set up or Create your academic year
- Have subjects available to select from or Create and edit a subject
Create a class
To create a class, go to Classes.
- First, select Add class.
- Next, in Add class, enter the class details:
Field Description Class name Enter a name for the class, for example 'Year 10 English 1'.
Each class needs to have a unique name.
Class code This is set to '1' by default. Update this when you have more than one class.
You can use numbers and letters.
Subject Select the subject for the class. Start and end Select the year and terms this class will begin and end in. This can span multiple years. Campus (optional) Select a campus from the list. Teachers (optional) Select a teacher for the class. You can assign more than one teacher if needed.
If a teacher isn’t assigned yet, skip this step and add them later.
Notes (optional) Enter a short description or note about the class.
- Select Add when you're done
The class appears in the classes list.
You've now created your classes.
