Introduction
Student attendance records provide critical insight into a student's movements when in your duty of care at school They are also used for compliance reporting.
With many moving parts to tracking student attendance and their movements on campus, Zunia's Attendance feature not only lets you capture this information and brings all the data together so you know where your students are at any given time and can provide reports when you need it.

Single source of truth for Attendance in Zunia. Creates attendance record each time student marked present or absent for a period. | Store of attendance records from the current day to past. View attendance summaries by date range, week, term or minute-by-minute for a single date. | When a student is marked absent in Mark roll - they appear here for Attendance administrators to resolve. Use a matching Absence note (parents), check-in or check-out to resolve an absence. Any matching, approved Absence note (parents) with an Attendance reason will automatically resolve absence. | Capture calls and emails from parents notifying the school of an absence here. Absence notes submitted from the School app will appear automatically. Toggle on All day and automatically resolve all periods for a particular day with an absence note. Taking the pain out of resolving absences
An approved absence note with an Attendance reason, will automatically resolve a matching absence so you don't have to spend time following it up.
When you're resolving unexplained absences in Zunia, any parent absence notes, check-ins or check-outs with matching dates are presented. You can select a match to resolve the absence.
Where no matching notes or check-ins or check-outs are available, details can be added manually.
Toggle on All day to resolve all periods of absence for that day.

Attendance reporting - get data when you need it
There are many attendance reports already set up in Zunia.
To access attendance reports, go to Reporting and compliance > Reporting and filter using "Attendance".
You'll see available attendance reports listed.
You can also, go to Attendance > View Attendance, use the filters and select
to export the attendance data on the screen to CSV.
