Introduction

Attendance reasons are added to a student's absence or attendance record for tracking and reporting on student attendance.

Zunia comes with a set of default attendance reasons that aim to meet most attendance needs and are listed here to show the following details:

  1. whether that attendance reason is on or off campus, and;
  2. whether it counts or not towards the student's attendance record.

Absent attendance types (off campus)

  1. Medical (counted).
  2. Family holiday (counted).
  3. Religious (counted).
  4. Truant (counted).
  5. School closure (not counted).

Present attendance types

  1. In class - on campus (counted).
  2. Educational activity - off campus (counted).
