Set up, edit and assign academic reports

Introduction

Setting up an academic report is easy. With a click you can add a report and then customise its pages to represent your school brand's look and feel.

Add reports for specific academic periods. Reports are made up of:

  • Subject pages using a subject template from the template library
  • A customisable front cover with preview
  • A customisable student overview
  • Ability to upload an About this report PDF
  • 1-click assign to teachers for writing, grading and proofing

Once a report is added, you can then go in and complete the set up, ensuring pages include the content you want in the report and in on brand for your school before assigning for comments and grading.


The template library

Create reusable subject templates tailored to the unique reporting structures within your school.

We recommend you create subject templates before you add a report. You can then select a template from the library when you add an academic report.

Add a report

To add a report, go to Academic reports > Reports.

  1. Select Add report 
  2. Enter a name for the report
  3. Select the academic year and period for the report
  4. Select a subject template*
  5. Select Add

You have now added your report - you'll be notified when its ready to be set up.

Set up your report

Once you add a report and can select it in Reports, you can:

  • set up content and style front cover (with preview)
  • adjust content inclusions for each subject page and student overview page
  • upload a PDF file to add your About this report page
  • turn pages on or off to include or exclude in the final academic report (turning off pages will not be visible to teachers or families)
  • select any page in your report and see what you can turn on or off and edit
  • select Save to save any changes

Be sure to check the front cover

  • background image is correct 
  • logo is correct (Zunia inserts the logo found in System configuration > Branding)
  • check margins are correct


Assign your report

When pages are ready for teachers to write comments and add grades; turn them on and select Assign report.

If you don't want to include a particular page in your report, turn it off. Pages that are turned off will not be visible to teachers or families.
