Introduction

As a teacher, you’re responsible for reporting on assessments your students complete each academic period. Subject reports may contain one or more assessable criteria that may include:

  • learning outcomes
  • exam results
  • a single piece of assessment
  • overall grades for subject assessments.

You’ll add grades to the assessable criteria for each of your students.

You can also copy the common sets of grades in each subject, then paste that grade into other student reports to save time.

Add grades and learning outcomes

Open one of your student's subject reports to get started.

  1. Select a subject. For example, Physics. This displays one or more learning areas for this subject.

  1. Select a Learning area.

If a learning area contains assessments, your school admin sets up the assessable criteria or outcomes with a grade type. The grade types will be one of the following:

  • Checkbox: Select a checkbox to confirm a student has achieved an outcome, task or skill.
  • Percentage: Enter a percentage mark out of 100. Assessment criteria using a percentage must be completed.
  • Grading scale: Select a grade, usually from A – E. Assessment criteria using a grading scale must be complete.

       3. Go to the assessable criteria or learning outcomes if they’re available.

  1. Select a Grade.

  2. Select Save.

  3. If this learning area is ready for proofreading, go to Mark as, then select Ready for Review

Sometimes, grades can be common across students. You can use Copy grades to copy a set of grades, then Paste grades to add them to other student reports in the same class.

  1. Use the arrows in the student profile to navigate to the next student.

  1. Select Paste grades in the learning outcome or assessment and adjust the grades if you need to.

  1. Select Save.

Use the arrows to navigate through your whole class. Continue to select Paste grades and adjust each student's results (if needed).

When you've added results for this outcome or assessment for the whole class, select Save and close
