Introduction

Zunia stores a complex range of data and delivers features and information based on the needs of individual users.

Community profiles in Zunia are used to deliver the right features and information to – and about – each community member.

  • Every person or company is set up with a community profile.
  • A community member is given a role in Zunia, for example School administrator or Student. This gives them access to the features they need.
  • A community member may have more than one role. For example, they may be both a Staff member and a Parent.
  • Community members can be linked to each other. For example, a Parent and a Student can be linked as members of the same household.

Types of community members

An individual exists only once in the Zunia community but can have many types of involvement with the school.

In Community profiles, ‘Constituencies’ define how an individual relates to the school. These are the different community profile types.

Constituency codes

Constituency codes that start with an @ symbol are automatically allocated and maintained by Zunia.

For example, when an individual is a debtor, they are automatically given the constituency @DEB.

You can manually add or remove people from constituencies that don't start with an @ symbol in School community profiles>Community member profiles.

Your school’s system administrator can set up constituencies specific to your school. These may be useful to keep track of groups of people who have specific communications sent to them, or who are invited to specific types of events, for example:

  • board members
  • friends of the school
  • school community groups

Where to create community profiles for different community member types

To create a profile for staff, students, past students or future students, go to the Staff profiles, Student profiles, Past students profiles or Future students profiles

When you create the profile from these pages, the ‘constituency’ or community member type is applied automatically. The profile then also displays in School community profiles.

Add a constituency

You can also add more community member types (consituencies). When the profile is created:

  1. Select Constituencies.
  2. Select Add.
  3. Select the constituency from the drop-down list. If you need a new community type, select Add item from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter a code for the community type, then a description.
  5. Select Add. The constituency is added to the drop-down list.
