Improvements

Bulk update access flag for Zunia School app to match contact email communications settings 

• You can already update contacts one by one to match their School app with email communications settings. You can now reconfigure the access flag in bulk to save time. Go to Community profiles > Community configuration > Default values. Select Update permissions to allow staff users to bulk update the School app access flag to match the contact's email communications setting.

Searching for students just got easier

• The student profile search will now default to ‘all students’ rather than academic period. 

Reports now filtered on linked parameters 

• When running reports with codes STUINFSUM to STULABELMAIL3X7, where a report parameter is linked with another report parameter, selecting one will filter the other. For example, where a report has Campus and Yeal level parameters, when Campus is selected the year level will only show the year levels associated with the selected campus. 

Quickly find and run wellbeing reports 

• Wellbeing reports now appear in the Teaching and Learning > Student wellbeing category under run reports. 

See points summaries in wellbeing reports 

• View added points totals in the following wellbeing reports: Student wellbeing report (STUWELLBEING) and Wellbeing listing by category (STUWELLCAT).

Introducing student contact permission reports

• You can now view contact flags for each student alongside any custody/court order or parental alert information in a new student contact permission report (code: STUCONTACTPER). This makes it easier to review which contacts have permission to receive different types of communication.

Report on past student alumni information

• You can now generate a report with information related to past students to help when planning alumni events and communication. This report (code: PSTUALUMINFO) that lists:
  • leaving information
  • alumni status
  • alumni status details.

Improvements

Pre-populating reports with related parameters

• When running reports with codes STULABELMAIL2X7 to STULEAVE, related parameters will automatically pre-populate. For example, when Campus is selected the Year levels related to this parameter will automatically be available for selection.

• You can now copy details from an existing class into a new class. This makes it quicker and easier to rollover classes with similar properties into a new academic period or subject.

• You can now search by keyword when adding, editing or viewing classes. This makes it easier to find a specific academic period, subject, campus or teacher.

Provide the right information to parents and medical assistance following an incident

• Reports run from a medical incident (ambulance and hot report) now generate correct reports. The incident report contains a snapshot of the current medical incident to send home to parents, while the ambulance report summarises the key healthcare information of the patient for ambulance and medical facilities.

You can now schedule group student activities to help manage extracurricular learning.

This includes:

• Assigning staff user permissions for activities.
• Scheduling, updating or deleting a single or repeat group student activity.
• Add, view or remove students in a group activity.

Marksbook: Enter grades into dropdown menu using the keyboard

You can now:

• Enter grades in Marks book using the keyboard with:
  • space bar key to open a cell
  • up/down arrow keys to navigate the drop-down menu options, and
  • enter key to select the highlighted option.

You can now:

• Add weighting to learning areas and assessments and Marks book will automatically calculate student scores for tracking progress and reporting.

Now fixed

We fixed the following issue:

• When adding an assessment, you’ll be returned to the Assessments tab for that subject.
• When adding comments in Marks book, you can use the A, W, S and D letter keys.

You can now:

• Run smarter reports with linked report parameters. Reports with linked parameters will be filtered to show the data in the associated parameter.

We fixed the following issues:

• Ranks in Marks book is now updated correctly when grades for an assessment are updated.
• Learning area score in Marks book is now correctly shown as 0% when all grades for the learning area are zero.
• Assessments for a subject can now be successfully created even if the assessment due date does not fall within an existing academic period.
• Filtering for classes in a Marks book will now correctly update the Marks book when the class filter is changed from one selection to the next and back to the original selection.

• Experience a much quicker approval of a student billing run due to a significant increase in performance.

We fixed the following issues:

• When you use the Timetable and Class report parameters for the following reports, the Class parameter dropdown list will now display classes that are only applicable to the selected timetable.

• You will be able to successfully enrol a student from the start date of an academic period.
• You will be able to successfully save changes to a learning area within a subject.
• You will only be able to enter a grade less than or equal to the maximum grade allowed for an assessment. Higher than the maximum grade will not be accepted.
• When you enter a grade of zero in an assessment, the total score will be calculated correctly.

We fixed the following issues:

• Navigating between sub-menus on the API Keys page keeps the page stable without crashing anymore.
• The Student Joint Parent Mailing Labels 2x7 report will now generate data if there is data to show.
• The payment schedule against a debtor account can now always be viewed regardless of the payment instalment status.

You can now:

• Have a consistent experience across Zunia when filtering people as the same people picker interface is now used across Zunia.
• Use academic period as an additional report parameter when running the Student List by Class report.

Improvements

Use Marks book to track progress of student learning

You can now:

• Add learning areas and outcomes to a subject.
• Create assessments for each subject to measure and test learning outcomes.
• Create and utilise up to three types of grading scales - a Letter (or cut-off) grading scale, a Text (or point) grading scale and a Number grading scale.
• Add grades to a Marks book which will automatically calculate the student’s score and rank.
• Add comments to a grade.

Note: The Marks book release will not impact any academic reporting that may be in progress.

Zunia now integrates with Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) 

You can now automatically create and update MS Teams virtual classrooms using class information set up in Zunia. Using the OneRoster standard, Microsoft’s School Data Sync (SDS) reads class details in Zunia to create virtual classes in MS Teams and syncs every 12 hours, automatically updating any changes to teacher or student enrolments in MS Teams.

• School’s email footer and author’s signature is now added to emails sent from Zunia (outbound emails).

You can now: 

• Create classes for current and future academic periods without having to create a timetable first 
• Manage all classes in one area of Zunia with the new Classes menu option 
• View a list of all classes from the new classes landing page 
• Enrol both current and future students into classes 
• View more class details to see class notes and the campus that the class is on 

Manage subjects 

• Manage subjects with a simplified experience with a re-focus on the subject list and Subjects as its own menu option. 

Setup timetable 

• Timetable setup is simpler because classes and enrolments are now handled in class management 

Note:

• The change will not impact any existing timetable data. Any classes that were previously set up through timetables will now be visible in the new class management section.
• Users will need appropriate permissions enabled by their System Admin to access class management and subjects

• The filename of the leavers report is now correctly labelled as ‘Leavers report’ when you export it.

• When rolling over students in bulk, the student type in the student timeline record was picking up the tenant default value. The student type now correctly copies from the previous student record.

We fixed the following issues: 

• Wellbeing records would not return correctly or display the student's name correctly when the student was not in the first 100 current students (alphabetically). All wellbeing records and the student’s names now display correctly. 
• When editing a timeline event in current student profiles, the edit action would fail and a blank page would appear if there was hidden data in the timeline event (for example, if the student had been assigned a tutor group and then the tutor group had been disabled). The edit function now works correctly even when there is hidden data. 
• When creating future or current students, they must have at least one contact that they live with. For any subsequent contacts, they may or may not be marked as 'lives with'. While adding subsequent contacts the system was not letting you change the ‘lives with’ flag from the default value set by the school, meaning it had to be edited after the contact was added. The ‘lives with’ flag is now editable while adding subsequent contacts in the correct circumstances (any time except when the student does not yet have any contact with the ‘lives with’ flag set to true). 
• The parent or guardian flag on a student (current, future or past student) determines whether the contact is assigned a 'Parent' constituency or 'Other contact' constituency. When editing the contact record and changing the parent or guardian flag, or deleting the contact record, the system was not updating the parent's constituency. The parent’s constituency now gets updated correctly.

We fixed a bug with the people picker: 

• When enrolling students, you can no longer select past students.  

Student rollovers and bulk transfers 

• We updated the rollovers and bulk transfers to sort by the student's 'Display name'. 
• We fixed an issue with some of the year level and campus data displaying incorrectly in the rollover settings. 
• We fixed an issue with the 'Locker' labels displaying incorrectly. 

Debtor charges 

• When adding a debtor charges batch, the charges weren't appearing in descending order. We fixed this.  
• There was an issue displaying multiple debtor accounts for a selected fee category. We fixed this.  

Student profiles 

In Student profiles, there was an issue where duplicate student and parent profiles were being created. We fixed this.
