Introduction

There are various ways you can open a marks book. You can open a marks book directly, or from within a subject or from within a subject or a class.

This guide shows you how to open a marks book from the various locations in Zunia.

A marks book now is created for this class. The next steps (if you haven’t done it already), is to add a Subject and create any assessments that will need to be graded.
 

Open a marks book

You can open a Marks book from various locations:

  1. To open a Marks book directly, go to Marks book.
    • Select Select Marks book to get started.
    • Select your Academic year, Academic period, Subject and At a minimum, you must select an academic year and a subject class to determine which students will be graded.
    • Select Apply.
  2. To open a marks book from subjects, go to Subjects and assessments and then you can do it in either of the following ways:
    • For your subject, select the 3-dot icon 3 dots icon and select Go to marks book; or
    • Select your subject and then Go to marks book.
  3. To open a Marks book from classes, go to Classes, select your class and select Marks book.

You’ve opened a marks book for your class.

In a marks book, you’ll see:

  • The subject and class name.
  • The class students list.
  • The assessments for each assessment group.
  • The assessable criteria for each assessment along with each of the learning outcomes attributed to criteria.
  • Each student’s Score and Rank for an assessment and Syllabus strand (if one is assigned to the subject). This is automatically calculated.
  • Each student’s Score and Rank for all assessments in a group. This is automatically calculated.
