Introduction

As a curriculum coordinator, planning subjects for the new school year and aligning it with your curriculum is easy. When adding subjects in Zunia, you can set up the curriculum structure that determines what will be taught and/or assessed and review when required.

Teachers can also use subjects in marks book to grade students’ work against syllabus and assessment criteria (defined in the subject).

Common curriculums available to assign to a subject are:

To make all subject, syllabus and assessment data visible in a marks book, each subject should contain a:

  • subject name and code
  • year level
  • syllabus (optional)
  • learning outcome (optional)
  • assessment group (optional), and
  • assessment.

Adding subjects for primary school or secondary school is done in the same way in Zunia.  For example, you may want to create multiple subjects for a subject discipline e.g. Year 7 English, Year 8 English, Year 9 English, or multiple subjects for each grade e.g. Year 7 Maths, Year 7 Science, Year 7 Visual Art.

This guide shows you how to add or edit a subject, or assign a curriculum syllabus.
