Introduction

Reviewing and reporting on the outcomes of a student plan at regular intervals is crucial for supporting and understanding student learning and success.

When reviewing a student plan, you can see teaching notes made by teacher/s or other contributors to understand how successful the adjustments applied in the classroom have been. These observations and insights make it easier for plan owners to summarise the outcomes achieved against the students’ learning goals.

Once a plan owner has finished reviewing a student plan, it can be ‘Marked as complete’ as soon as the plan has ended. It will remain visible to users with access, so it can inform future student reports and learning strategies or provide evidence when applying for funding.

To publish a student plan you must be a plan owner or add/manage contributors, and your System Admin needs to assign you the right user permissions.

Set student plan review dates

Go to Student wellbeing > Student plans and adjustments.

  1. Select a Student name from the list to view existing student plan/s.
  2. Select the draft plan from the list view to open it.
  3. Select Review, then Add review dates.
  4. Next to Review 1, add which date/s the plan outcomes need to be reviewed, then Save. If it’s reoccurring, you can add additional dates.

You’ve set the review dates for a student plan.

Review student plan outcomes

If the review date for a student plan passes before reporting is finished, the plan will change from ‘active’ to ‘pending review’ status.

Plan owners need to review and report on the goals and outcomes achieved before the plan is completed.

Go to Student wellbeing > Student plans and adjustments.

  1. Select a Student name from the list to view existing student plan/s.
  2. Select the draft plan from the list view to open it.
  3. To see how the plan’s progressing and see when the next review is due, select Review. If no review dates are set, you’ll need to do this now.
  4. At each review, you can report on plan progress by selecting a goal set at the beginning of the plan and describing what the outcomes are, then Save review. You can use the ‘Teaching notes’ added by teachers and other contributors to understand how adjustments have performed in the classroom.

You’ve finished reviewing part of the student plan.

Complete a student plan

A student plan owner can complete a plan once all reviews are saved and the plan end date has passed.

Go to Student wellbeing > Student plans and adjustments.

  1. Select a Student name from the list to view existing student plan/s.
  2. Select the Plan name from the list view to open it.
  3. To see what review dates are set or completed select Review – all reviews must be finished and saved (not pending review) and the end date passed before a plan can be completed.
  4. When you’re ready to complete the plan and no more teaching notes or review is needed, select Mark as complete next to the three-dot icon Three grey dot icon.

You’ve completed the student plan.
