Transfer future students to current students

Modified on Wed, 18 Feb at 3:19 AM

Introduction

When a student submits their school application, your school may have created a profile for them in Future students. This can be well before the student’s expected start date.

If a student’s profile has already been added to Zunia, there’s no need to re-enter all the details. You can transfer it from a Future student profile to a Current student profile.

To check if a student profile already exists go to Student profilesFuture students and enter the student’s name or ID and select Search.

Any potential name matches are found, so you may see a list of students with similar names.

If the student you want to transfer is in the list, then you can transfer the student’s profile to Current students

Transfer a future student to current students

To transfer a future student to current students, go to Student profilesFuture student profiles

  1. Enter the student’s name or ID and select Search

  1. To select the student you want to transfer, select anywhere on the row where their name displays.

  1. Then, from their student profile, select the icon and select Transfer to current students from the drop-down menu.

  1. The Starting date is the date the student is expected to start at the school. To select the Starting date, select the calendar icon and use the arrows to go to the year and month, then select the date.

  1. If you want to keep a copy of the student’s profile in future student profiles, select Keep future record

Note: This may be useful if your school needs to keep future student records. For example, it can help your school manage students’ future applications to courses that weren’t available at the time of their enrolment.

  1. When prompted, enter the confirmation word and then select Transfer.

Now that you’ve transferred the student, you can update their profile in Current students whenever you need to.
