Manage debtor accounts in a student profile

Introduction

You can add one or more debtor accounts in a student profile to manage student fees.  

You can: 

  • Add a debtor account 
  • Edit a debtor account 
  • Delete a debtor account 


Find a student

To find a student, go to Student profiles and then select Current students, Past students or Future students. 

Next, use the filters to help you find the student. 

Your search results display.  

Select the student from your search results.   


Add a debtor account 

Select Billing, and then in Debtor accounts, select Add to create a new debtor account.  

In Add account, you can create a debtor account in two ways: 

The debtor account you've created appears in this student’s list of debtor accounts.  

Next, you can manage student billing adjustments for this student profile.  


Edit a debtor account

  1. In Debtor accounts, select the 3 dots icon for the debtor account that you want to edit. 
  2. Select Edit to edit a debtor account. 

You can now edit the fee category and weighting:  


FieldDescription  
Fee categorySelect the fee category to use for billing this student.
WeightingEdit the weighting. Weighting is set to 100 when the debtor account is created and refers to the percentage of fees a debtor account will pay. You can edit the weighting to be less than 100 only after you’ve created the debtor account. For example, 50 means the debtor account pays 50% of this student's tuition fees. 


  1. When you’re done, select Save

You've now edited this debtor account.  


Next, you can manage student billing adjustments for this student profile. 


Delete a debtor account

  1. In Debtor accounts, select the 3 dots icon for the debtor account you want to delete. 
  2. Select Delete to delete a debtor account. 
  3. Select Save

You've now deleted this debtor account.  


Next, you can manage student billing adjustments for this student profile.
