Introduction

Zunia lets you give users access to features that are relevant for their roles. Access to features are defined by permissions sets.

This guide shows you how to add permissions for users and explains the permissions sets for specific features.
 

Add user permissions

To give user access to Zunia features, you will need to:

You have now enabled permissions for users to access the features they require.
 

Permissions sets

Permission sets define the access rights to features. The following explains specific permission sets.
 

Academic reporting

Permission setDescription
View, proof and distribute student academic reportsAllows the user to access Manage Reports page and manage students academic reports.
Write and edit student academic reportsAllows the user to access Write Reports page and write student academic reports.
Add, define and configure academic report setupsAllows the user to access Set up Reports page and define students academic reports
View community personal informationAllows the user to view personal information stored within community records including staff and student records


Activities

Permissions setDescription
View all activitiesAllows the user to only view activities.
Maintain all activitiesAllows the user to create and edit activities and add/remove students from an activity.


Attendance

Permissions setDescription
View attendanceAllows the user to view attendance, absence notes, resolve absences, check-ins and outs, attendance reasons and any rolls.
View classesAllows the user to view class names in resolve absences, view attendance and any attendance roll pages. 
Manage attendance reasonsAllows the user to add or edit attendance reasons. 
Manage attendance Allows the user to access to view, add or edit resolve absences, absence notes, view attendance, check-ins and outs and attendance reasons. 
Mark the rollAllows user to only access and mark the attendance roll for classes assigned to them. 
Mark any rollAllows the user to access and mark all attendance rolls regardless of which teacher the class is assigned to. 
Community search or viewAllows the user to search or view students resolve absences and view attendance pages. It also allows the user to view names on absence notes and check-ins and outs.
Student search or viewAllows the user to add students to a check-in or out in absence notes, view attendance or to check-ins or outs. 


Classes

Permissions setDescription
View classesAllows the user to only view classes.
Manage classesAllows the user to create and edit classes and enrol/unenrol students in a class.


Compliance reports

Permission setDescription
View compliance reportAllows the user to only view compliance reports.
Maintain compliance reportAllows the user to maintain value mapping settings for compliance reports.
Run compliance reportAllows the user to run compliance report exports.


Invoices

Permissions setDescription
Manage invoice – [Finance entity name]Users can create invoices, manage invoice templates, payment statuses and export and send invoices. 

 

Marks book

Permission setDescription
Maintain Marks bookAllows the user to create, update and delete learning areas, outcomes, assessments and grading scales that form the structure of the Marks book.
View Marks bookAllows the user to enter grades in the Marks book and view grading scales.


Student plans

Permission setDescription
Create own student plansUser can create new student plans.
View all student plansUser can view all student plans even if they are not an owner of the plan.
Maintain all student plansUser can update all student plans even if they are not an owner or contributor to the plan.
View own student plansUser can view the student plans where they are an owner.
Maintain own student plansUser can update student plans where they are an owner.
Community searchUser can search community profiles within a student plan.
Future student searchUser can search future student profiles within a student plan.
Past student searchUser can search past student profiles within a student plan.
Staff searchUser can search staff profiles within a student plan.
Student searchUser can search student profiles within a student plan.


Student rollover

Permission setDescription
View student rolloverAllows the user to only view student rollovers.
Student searchAllows the user to search and add students to a student rollover.
Create student rolloverAllows the user to add and approve new student rollovers.


Subjects
