Approve a receipt

Introduction

After you've allocated a receipt, you can approve it.   

This guide shows you how to find and approve a receipt within a batch.  
 

Find a receipt  

  1. To find a receipt from a batch, go to your [Finance entity name] > Cash Receipts Entry. This will display a list of batches.  
  2. Under Receipt batches, search and select the batch that contains the receipt you want to approve. You can use the filters to help you find it. 

 Note – You can only approve a receipt after it's allocated to a debtor account and/or a general ledger.
 

Approve a receipt 

To approve a receipt, you need to:  

  1. Under Receipts, select the receipt you want to approve from the batch.  
To check the details in the receipt, you can select View details. 
  1. Select Approve.  

You've approved this receipt. A green tick  indicates an approved receipt.  

You can edit approved receipts in open or closed batches.

Note – You can't re-open approved receipts to edit them once they're exported.
