Break a spouse link in a community member profile

Introduction

When parents (community members) break up or divorce, you need to update their records and break the spouse links from their community profiles in Zunia.  
 

Break a spouse link

To break a spouse link go to School community profiles>Community members.  

1. Search for the community member by name in the search box.  

2. Select their name in the list of results.  

3. In Relationships, select the three dots    . 

4. Select Break spouse link, and a New spouse relationship window displays.  

5. Old spouse relationship shows the couple’s past relationship status. For example, the Old spouse relationship status used to be ‘Wife’.  

6. In New spouse relationship select the current relationship status, for example, ‘Ex-wife’. Then Update.
    

A Student’s relationship window will display. It will show the names of the students affected by this break-up.  

Set parents separated flags  

When parents separate, sometimes it’s useful to flag this information in a student’s profile.  

In the Student’s relationship window, check the names of the students who need the separation flagged on their profile, then Update.  

You’ll get a notification saying that you've unlinked the relationship.
