Add or update a staff members' profile

Introduction

School administrators can add, update or delete staff member profiles to keep contact information up to date in Zunia.  

If you don’t have all the details you need to complete the profile, you can add them later. And if you make a mistake, select Back to return to the details you want to change. Any edits you make are saved, so you don’t have to re-enter them.  

How to add or update a staff profile 

To add a new staff profile, go to Staff profiles > Staff and select Add staff.


To update a staff profile, use the search or filter to find the staff member and open their profile.


1. Add staff info  

  • Select Person and add the staff member’s name in Staff info. 

Name matches are flagged to avoid duplicating profiles, so the name displays in a list if the staff member’s profile has already been created.

To create a new record, make sure Create new record is selected and select Next..

2. Add contact info 

When you’ve filled in Staff info, add the staff member’s Contact info

  • Enter phone numbers in Personal mobile, Home phone or Occupation phone. If you have more or different phone numbers, select Add a phone.   

Note: Select the 3 dots3 dots to mark a phone number as Preferred. You can mark mobile numbers as the Default SMS.  

  • Under emails, enter staff or personal email addresses. If they don’t apply, you can add other school contacts or company contacts by selecting Add an email:   
    • Occupational: For School contacts who are not a company.
    • Company: If you are adding contact details for a supplier or business contractor, select Add an email and then Company

Note: If you’ve added more than one email, select the 3 dots3 dots icon to set one as the default. The default email you select is used by Zunia in different ways. For example, if you want to send teachers an email with Quick list, Zunia uses the email you select as default. The default email is also the email address we’ll send Zunia invitations to. 

  • Enter any Internet and social media profiles in Facebook and LinkedIn. Select Add internet and social media to add more social media profiles.   
  • Enter the address in Home address. Select the Country from the drop-down list, then use Address lookup if you want to automatically fill in the address. 

Or, if the address you enter isn’t found, enter the address details into Address line 1, Suburb Sub-region, State region and Postcode.   

  • If the postal address isn’t the same as the home address, de-select the Postal address checkbox and enter the postal address details.   

3. Add staff details

When you’ve filled in Contact info, add the Staff details

  • Enter the School staff code
  • Select the staff’s Campus from the drop-down list. 
  • Select the Staff type from the drop-down list.
  • Enter the staff’s regular working hours in FTE. For example, you may enter 1.0 for regular full-time hours or 0.6 for 3 days a week.
  • Select the staff member’s Staff room from the drop-down list.
  • Enter a Staff phone extension
  • To enter a Start date, select the calendar icon and then use the arrows to select the date the staff member starts on.

Note: If the staff member is a contractor with a known end date, select the calendar icon in Leaving date and then use the arrows to select the date their contract ends.

  • Finally, select Finish to save this staff member’s profile in Zunia.
